Unfortunately, on April 26, we stood in front of a closed gate even though it says the place is open all year round. It would be nice if there was a closed sign immediately at the exit.

Great place, not only the location itself, but also the excellent base for a visit to Matera and/or a walk through the surrounding nature. Owner Paolo provides a friendly welcome and takes you to the old city of Matera in his van. We highly recommend this place!
