Excellent place to visit beautiful Bom Jesus, but also for a visit to Braga. The latter takes a bit of cycling, but is doable. As previously indicated, there is quite a lot of traffic during the day, but it is quiet at night.
A good place to spend the night if you are self-sufficient and to visit the church. Located next to a busy road but almost no traffic at night. It is also visited in the late hours by couples who have a great time together in the car. I didn't feel unsafe at all.
