What a lovely spot! No facilities other than a picnic table. But a great view! Thanks to the municipality of Staden!
Sitecode: 73170
We didn't see anywhere that this was a CP. The cheese factory was already closed. We drove on to Staden.

Due to construction work at the harbor, the access road via small, steep, and winding roads through the village is not suitable for every campervan. The site is currently overcrowded, with at least 20 more campervans than available spaces. Some campervans are even double-parked. Some campervan owners have been here for over two weeks... One star deduction for that. All the toilets in the town are closed. Furthermore, it boasts the most beautiful view in France!

Beautiful spot, lots of shade. I do have trouble with French people who drive up in the morning to walk their dogs. They'll go with their hands in their pockets and look at the water, then let the dog loose, only for it to pee against all the trees and take a huge dump on the grass. Then they pretend not to see it and quickly get back in the car. Very antisocial. It's great for those who want to sit there again in their car seat in the afternoon. Hence, three stars.

We were there from 16:00 to 9:30 last night and had to pay 22 euros... (8+14). The sign says 18 euros per night and departure before 11 am. 22 euros is way too much for an overnight stay in the parking lot with hardly any view. Maybe we should have paid immediately upon arrival but even then I don't understand all those different amounts. Toilets are clean and have a toilet seat and toilet paper 😁

6 euros per 24 hours, no other facilities. Big plus the view right in front of you on Le Mont and the brand new cycle path opposite the CP with which you cycle to the abbey within 30 min. They just finished it yesterday. Lots of traffic during the day, very quiet at night. After all the bad reviews we didn't dare to eat in the restaurant.

Very nice camper spot. Sanitary facilities are good and clean. Had no problems with the refugee ship. The only disadvantage may be that you cannot see the ships on the meadow if you are sitting next to your camper because of the dike. But it is very important for safety reasons. We put our chairs on the dike/walking path so that we could still see something, but it was not stable. Definitely a place we will return to more often!

What a pearl! What peace! No amenities. (there is a dump point a little way back) We were there with one other camper and had the beach to ourselves. Occasionally some cars with people coming for a walk.

The 20-minute ride full of potholes and holes was not feasible for us. (small alcove camper) We almost got stuck in the mud and the freshly dumped gravel and did not dare to drive any further. When we were free (pieufw... 🥵) we turned around and went back a bit to have lunch, two cars arrived who photographed us and took notes and drove away again. Didn't feel good and we looked for another place.

Busy place, but with beautiful views over the Danish mudflats. No facilities except for a picnic table and a trash can.
Sitecode: 95405
The view is beautiful! Nice to walk to Rubjerg Knude. We were also here in 2018, but a huge amount of rock has already disappeared. We didn't dare to spend the night here.
Sitecode: 107063
What a beautiful location! Very nice view, toilet, (cold) outdoor shower, Jeu de Boule court and a special access road that the navigation sent us along. About a cattle grid where the Scottish Highlanders blocked our way. With a little patience of our chance it all worked out as they fought each other down the path. The other location a few meters further is smaller with a fire pit and toilet, but it has a better view and is larger.

Because the CP Sittesen was overcrowded, we had to switch to it. Despite the lesser reviews, still pleasantly surprised. Sufficient space, discharge point for gray water and toilet, electricity, supermarkets and bakery (so fresh rolls in the morning) around the corner. We are at the back and are hardly bothered by traffic noise. Looks good for a free spot!

After reading all the reviews, I was most looking forward to seeing the sanitary facilities. Immediately tested the shower upon arrival to rinse off the water from Lake Balaton. The water was nice and warm, the jet hard. It is indeed a bit old and not quite fresh, but I managed just fine and I have also seen much worse.

Bumpy flat with yellow sand, more like a dump than a CP.
Sitecode: 77277
High situated quiet parking lot at playground and watchtower (paid). As the previous reviews indicated, it is still quite a walk to the lake. Past the bistro and then down a flight of stairs and over the railway. Not suitable for prams/wheelchair. We decided not to spend the night there and drove on.

The website of the municipality of Mödling states that staying overnight is prohibited. Also the sign indicates "No camping". We are here with two campers, we will see if we are sent away tonight.
Sitecode: 61752
Just a parking lot, nowhere does it say that you can also spend the night there (also not that you are not allowed to do it). We drove on to Mödling, 12 minutes away.

15 euros per night. If you only stay one night, you have to pay an extra two euros as a "fine". Everything is charged extra, even for toilet use (€3 p.p.). They new price list. The bus stops in front of the door. For €1.50 return you can reach the Basteibrücke in a few minutes. Tip; At night it is wonderfully quiet there. We went there by bus at 7 pm (€ 1 one way) and walked back in half an hour. the bus runs until 8 pm.

15 euros per night and you have to pay an extra two euros if only staying 1 night. You have to pay extra for everything, even three euros per person if you want to use the toilet. The bus stop stops in front of the door and for 1 euro one way (1.50) return you can reach the Bastei Bridge in a few minutes. Tip: it is wonderfully quiet there at night. We went there by bus at 7 pm and walked back in half an hour. The bus goes until 8 p.m.

Certainly not 23 euros per night. We had to pay 35 euros per night without electricity. Had to stand on the paved (parking) places because of the rain without a view instead of the lake. In my opinion much too expensive. If I had known that in advance I would have looked elsewhere...

Very quiet place. Pay, shower (5 kr.) and toilet in a green shed.
Sitecode: 103798
As the gentlemen indicated above, you pay for 2 days, 6 euros per day. meanwhile, a day ticket for arrival and a day ticket for the day of departure. You can pay this at the Geo Center just before departure (Centre opens at 11.00 am). Free Wifi around the Geo Center. Toilets behind the Geo Center are open from 06:00 to 22:00. All in all a great place and wonderfully quiet at night. It is also a Dark Sky park, so many stars to see!

Neat neat places, everything clean and cared for. Beautiful new sanitary facilities where you have to pay 4 euros per person to use! The shower works on timer. I didn't realize that and then my long hair was just in the conditioner and the shower wouldn't turn on. Have to move everything to another cubicle to flush everything out. Shower can be on a break, it turned out later. Tip to keep in mind for the long-haired among us.

To travel through great and quiet place on large parking lot. Discharging waste water was a bit of a search, sat a little further and stood in front of a van. Free water.
Sitecode: 1178
Special place at a dam. No facilities but neat place. A bit restless due to many cars driving around. Great for overnight stay in transit.
Sitecode: 64948
These are they, the gems among the CPs, that you actually want to keep to yourself! Beautiful place in orchard. River where children can romp, many animals. Excellent Basic shower (cold) and 1 toilet. The farmer is very friendly, sitting there drinking homemade apple juice in the evening. You can also buy bread, vegetables, etc. there. Unfortunately there were "only" three days left because the vignette expired.
Sitecode: 62414
Nice messy campsite where we have been for 2 days. You can just pick out a spot and everyone stands straight through each other, which ultimately had its charm. Two showers (cold, no door, only curtain) and two toilets was very few. A lot of activity from water sports enthusiasts and soft music did give it atmosphere. The view of the river was beautiful, very cold for swimming. 25 euros for 4 people.
Sitecode: 43100
The CP itself is not much, it is just in the parking lot without shade. (nice view). But the facilities are good; electricity, water, waste and waste disposal. And it's neat. You can use the toilet in the museum during opening hours. Our youngest son loved the museum! Supermarket opposite the museum. We have been there for two days.
Sitecode: 69047
At first I thought it was a desolate place. Sanitary is moderate, if you are lucky the showers are warm. It had been raining all day so we were in the mud (no paved area). Every 15 minutes the church bells rang, very annoying for a light sleeper. The charm of the place are the view of the river and the beach and the bridge. But found the 36 euros (4 pers, pn) pretty much.
Sitecode: 5725
View was beautiful, but the terrain was full of huge potholes. the place itself felt uncomfortable and we therefore looked for another CP.
Sitecode: 44753
This was absolute horror for me. A lot of trouble with the noise from the highway and the screaming Italian gypsy families who dominated the place. The plumbing smelled enormous, no locks on the showers. Only hot asphalt, no shadow and difficult payment system. In short, not a place where I would go again. The town is also very nice and easy to do on foot.
Sitecode: 51442
What a phenomenal view of the mountains! Places are a bit tight, but there is electricity and water and you can discharge your waste water. You can use the toilet in the hotel. Free WiFi is available from the other building. After the first night we returned again because of the view.
Sitecode: 53181
Free CP, incl. Electricity for 2 campers, but with more than one you can use electricity in the shed. You can also use the toilet and shower on the side of the building. Was "abducted" by car by the owner on arrival because she wanted to show me the free swimming pool for the children two miles away. Food is great. Been there and back to Slovenia.
Sitecode: 58708
Best plumbing that I have encountered so far. Great showers, really beautifully renewed. Beautiful place almost right on the water. Should not pay on arrival, had to next day. Suddenly 12.50 extra per child had to be paid. Although I had indicated in advance that there were also two children, she kept talking about 34.50 a night. Felt scammed.
Sitecode: 61833
Rather a service point than a CP. Water did not work after importing money, not even with the help of a friendly German. Waste water could not be discharged, only with a hose. We just drove on to a different CP.
Sitecode: 14718
This CP was not our first choice and after reading the reviews we were a bit hesitant but still tried. in the end it was not too bad. We got a nice place, nice view, but noise from ships and trains. Plumbing was okay. No problems with the "permanent" campers.
Sitecode: 18690
CP for the winegrower's barn. Electricity available, large bathroom in the shed which can be opened with a key. Place was pretty skewed, even with blocks still. Supermarket within walking distance.
Sitecode: 78359
A good base to take the kids to the div. museums in Kerkrade. The place is neat and nice located opposite the castle. No camping behavior allowed. We were alone there. Annoying was that at 00.00 cars with young people came with loud music and started playing football. Making it very long before I fell asleep.
Sitecode: 9923
What a great fun place, primitive and a bit messy, without shower or toilet, but with a lot of charm. They stood among the sunflowers, next to the vegetable garden and orchard. We have paid 7 euros for 4 people. incl. water and electricity. Because of storm stayed a night. In the morning we got delicious sandwiches from the owner, who also works at a bakery. Top!
Sitecode: 30494
Neat Camper place, separated with a hedge and picnic table at any place. Despite the fact that the CP at the entrance is not a nuisance of a lot of noise from camping visitors. 165 crowns paid for 4 pers. incl. power a shower. Sanitary is fine, typically 80s, but I found that charming myself. No inconvenience from the new waste incineration plant.
Sitecode: 50782
Quiet neat motorhome. Friendly reception. Sanitary is fine, but 1 toilet for 20 places is little. nice shower, without using coins or something. Jeu de boule court, campfire and hammock present. 17 euros paid for 4 pers. incl. electricity, water and shower. Good starting point for trips to Skagen, Lonstrup ed Only downside is that no gray water can be discharged.
Sitecode: 1011
A night stood, great cp in transit to Denmark. No facilities, but I do not expect that on a free Cp. Thermen on the other side.
Sitecode: 25817
Were with 4 pers. incl. electricity and showers lost more than 45 euros. Pretty pricey, but was a very neat campsite and we had beautiful sea views. Sanitary was very neat. Shop with bread service available. 100 meters walk from the pebble beach.
Sitecode: 59773
Great for a free night. Beware drive not too far, do not follow the signs Camperplaats because then you suddenly stand in the harbor on a motorhome of 150 crowns.
Sitecode: 28900
Were looking for the large free motorhome and accidentally drove a little too far, a helpful man said that was not here but would leave us on the spot and I could walk along to pay. 230 crowns for 4 pers. without electricity or the middle of the boats, no place to put a seat! Really awful. Next day stood on the free CP that was a little way back.
Sitecode: 1159
Would have liked to be in this place with beautiful views but it was overcrowded. I was exasperated when we had to back up the narrow road right along the water of the harbor because there were three campers and there was no place to turn. Maybe a tip to first go and see if there is room before you drive into this narrow road.
Sitecode: 19251
On arrival between 14.00 and departure before 12.00 you pay 14 euros for 2 pers. With two children and electricity, we lost 25 euros. You are within 5 minutes on the beach. Showers and toilets were okay, a bit far from where we were. Reception speaks English but with heavy French accent which is sometimes difficult to understand. Definitely a place to return again.
Sitecode: 57695
Got here because the parking at the lighthouse was full. Neat campsite with small pool and restaurant. Sainitair was neat and clean. From the campsite you walk within half an hour to the harbor, lighthouse and chalk cliffs.
Sitecode: 52847
Quiet, small campsite. In the morning we had fresh baguettes and the showers were delicious. When you are at the back of the campsite you have just a little sea view. If you walk around the campsite on your left, you will come across a dilapidated church, you keep to the right, then you will walk to Omaha Beach in 30 minutes via a steep road. Another 10 minutes walk through the beach and you are at the big cemetery.
Sitecode: 3466
I was pleasantly surprised by this motorhome. I thought it was a nice spot at a small but beautiful village. It was a bit of searching for the "Tabac Press", but in the evening someone came along to collect the money. Definitely a place to come back to transit back to the Netherlands.
Sitecode: 13628
We stood here one night in transit back to the Netherlands. The view was beautiful and in the evening a nice walk to the old ruins was made. The toilet was quite an experience. My first acquaintance with a French toilet and hopefully also the last one, it really disgusted. If you have your own toilet and shower on board, you can stand up for that 5 euros for one night.
