We skipped the campsite in Eisenerz due to the messy location. We were alone there in pitch darkness. Although there wasn't much noise at night because of the dump trucks, we still didn't sleep very soundly. Of the facilities, only the trash can remains. The restaurant is for sale, the toilets are closed, as is the water tap. Mostly construction containers due to the work on the bridge. Nice view though. My visit was worth it.

This is going to be very different from what the photos show. There's a large excavation nearby, a fence is now directly across from the restaurant, and there are shipping containers (cabins?) in the parking lot. We drive on.

*August 2020* 

Although there are no signs, it is (thus checked) allowed to stand here overnight. Great place, with shade, toilet and running water (no drinking water) on a mountain, 1050 meters high and therefore pleasantly cool on hot summer days. Although it is now 31 degrees everywhere, it only gets 25 here.
