Great spot at a horse sanctuary.

Very driven owner; horses are clearly number 1 for them.

The campsite is fine but simple, the sanitary facilities are the same.
Emptying the toilet is possible as long as you have used biological additives (green cap).

The bike ride around Genk is not recommended; it goes through residential areas a lot, which is a shame.
The bike route to Maastricht is much nicer, passing through more nature.

Maastricht is an hour away on an e-bike and it is a beautiful city.

Basic camping among the horses. Very friendly owners involved with the horses. 2 toilets and 1 shower is a bit cramped, but they were clean. Power was unreliable when the campsite was full. Emptying the camper toilet is only permitted if biological waste has been used. Decent pitches.

We ended up here by chance

a spot among the horses
basic sanitary facilities but everything you need is there
Yes, to get to the sanitary facilities you have to go through the stables, but what is wrong with that?
The owner tells you with passion about the horses that are there
If you are looking for a luxury campsite, drive on.
If you are looking for something different, then definitely do it
