Autokemp Ostrov has a very pleasant location in the heart of the Bohemian Paradise in Mala Skala. The camp is located in the center of the village, surrounded by the river Jizerou. In the picturesque valley of Malá Skála you will find ruins of old castles (Pantheon, Frýdštejn) as well as many natural attractions (Dry Rocks, rock town Kalich).

We enjoyed our time here. We stayed for 2 days. It looked like a festival site. Everything was crammed with small tents, alternating with campers and caravans belonging to young people and the elderly. All for the canoeing. Mostly Czechs. The sanitary facilities were clean despite the many guests. They were maintained every hour. It was surprisingly quiet at night.

Beautiful spot by the river if you arrive early. Very few power hookups, so pay close attention if you need electricity. On weekends, every inch is packed with families in tents; schools also fill the fields with tents. This causes a lot of nuisance on weekends. Music and shouting from drunken Czechs until deep into the night. There are only two showers, and with that crowd, you had to stand in a long line; they weren't clean, and the curtain was dirty.

When we arrived on a Wednesday it was packed with school children! The next day it was quieter! Luckily there was still a nice spot at the water! Despite the many children the toilets were clean! All old though. Showers, strange system, not tried. A bit chaotic all. Bistro was open, but 'normal' people could not eat there, only school children! 900 meters along the street was a good pizzeria. Swimming at the dam: Delicious
