Had a wonderful overnight stay. There is a restaurant a 200m walk away, it is called Slot Krug. It looks a bit dated at first glance, but the meal was really superb. Best meal for us in Denmark!!

Beautiful place, quiet and surrounded by forest.

The castle is across the road; you can walk all the way around it through the forest!

Camper site within walking distance of Tranekaer Castle. It's a bit unclear whether you're allowed to stay overnight here. A sign on the restroom building says no. A sign on the road indicates it's a camper site. We had a wonderful night's sleep here.
