Campsite in the woods with a small swimming pool and a restaurant serving delicious pizzas.
In September there is plenty of space, but you are not allowed to choose your own spot. You are allowed to change, though.
The number of nights of stay must be paid immediately, and payment must also be made directly for extensions. So no payment afterwards.
The sanitary building is kept clean and the shower provides hot water.
The surroundings are fantastic for mountain biking and road cycling, and there is plenty to see.
Trails even start at the campsite. The walk around the lake is great.

Great campsite by the lake. You cannot swim in the lake. Aydat, with restaurants and a beach, is within walking distance.

The 6km circular walk around the lake is nice; it starts at the parking lot near the restaurant. The small restaurant (pizza) is simple but good.

Most pitches have sufficient shade. Sanitary facilities are OK.

Costs £39 per night. So, pricey.

As an alternative, there is a beautiful motorhome site in Aydat itself. That would be our first choice next time.

Beautiful campsite. Large, shady pitches. The lady at reception speaks good English and was very helpful in finding walking routes. Beautiful surroundings for walking, including around the lake.
