Great spot. Everything works as long as you enter the code correctly. Crest is a nice town with plenty of restaurants and bars. Market on Tuesdays. The campsite is located much better than the closed spot at the large, messy, and busy parking lot in the center. Now the center is a 500m walk away.

The barrier was open on September 18th, but I paid anyway. I hope there's no hassle afterward. It's noisy during the day, but quiet at night with the sounds of the forest animals in the background and a beautiful view of the keep. I didn't see many campers here. Within walking distance of a pretty town with a steep climb to the keep (entrance fee: €10 per person).
