It's peak season (August 4th), of course, and the campsite is packed. Everyone's crammed together. The spot we'd reserved was already taken. There's a lot of traffic noise from the road running right next to it, and on the other side of the Drome, the train regularly roars by. We won't be returning.

The fact that it is actually a simple campsite is also its charm. 
The owner is a great host and is helpful. 
The charm of this campsite is that it is located on a beautiful part of the Drôme river where you can swim and drift along with the current for a while. 
The sanitary facilities are indeed outdated but clean. 
We come here almost every year to camp for a while.

A beautiful spot on the river, with a lovely beach, a terrace and bread service.
Beautiful shady spots, but also spots with sun.
Fries available to order.
The sanitary facilities are neat and clean, but very outdated and in need of renovation, especially the washing-up areas.
