Aire Naturelle de Montchardon

Camping in an old orchard with a few permanent caravans. The sanitary facilities aren't great, but they are clean. The owner is the icing on the cake, a very friendly old man who calmly shows you the available pitches and the sanitary facilities. When I asked if I still have space, he replied: "I'll arrange a pitch..." He probably wouldn't turn anyone away anytime soon.

Inexpensive. Quiet. Very friendly owners (we were waved goodbye in the morning!). Upon arrival, owner André explains the sanitary facilities, showers, etc. Note: you pay cash at this campsite.

Small field where somewhere a spot near a plug is assigned by the old farmer of the house who delights you with his French humor. So don't be alarmed if you are led past the squat toilet, there is also a regular toilet. Don't expect a modern toilet building, it is a cubicle built against the barn. But that is more than compensated by the quiet and green ambiance. These are the places that a camper is happy about...
