We were here in early November. A placard said it was free from October 1st (not sure of exact date). In the 'village' there is a French toilet and a sink, but we did not use it. Well from the baker / butcher (great pâté!). Info was good too. New benches have been placed outside the rampart, where you can sit comfortably.

we thought it was a great place in March '22: we were alone, completely unexpectedly in a muted city canal: how romantic can it be? We made a lovely walk around the walled area and the next day we were even surprised by snow. on Sunday morning the small shops above behind the entrance gate were open for super fresh pain et locale vin with a very extensive cheese shop around the corner....
