We were looking for a different place. By chance, we stumbled upon Maison de la Liberation. What a nice place. A simple place with a lot of history. We walked to Omaha Beach ourselves, which was a half-hour walk. Just before the beach, there is a small museum where the stories of the invasion are displayed. In short, a great place to spend time.

Three stars for the location; you can easily cycle to Omaha Beach and the American military cemetery. The campsite is nothing more than a bumpy field where you look for a spot, and late in the afternoon someone comes to collect €20 in cash. Don't think you should stay here when it's raining. Plenty of power hookups, though you do need French plugs. Two simple toilets and showers, but they work. The steps leading up to them are not suitable for people with mobility issues.
