Camping-car Park Saint-Clément-des-Baleines

Actually a beautifully situated campervan site on the Île de Ré. Right by the dunes. We stayed here for 5 nights over New Year's. It would have been 5 stars. However, it loses points for the persistent power outages due to overload (2-3 times a day). This is extremely annoying, as the operator, CCP, is aware of the problem.

Very quiet campsite! Nice, spacious pitches. We were here with 4 other campers. Easy entry and exit at the barrier. Nice unloading area where you can load and unload 2 campers at the same time. We stayed here for 2 nights. Within walking distance of the beach. The village has a good bakery and a small supermarket; nothing else was open in November. Friendly people.

Now managed by Camping-Car Park. Spent three days (25-28 April), great. Several paved (gravel) pitches. Everything nearby within walking or cycling distance. Relatively quiet in this season. Approach: drive past the village (from the south) and then follow the signs (aire de stationnement etc).
