A fine spot for a stopover; upon arrival, we were initially startled by the busy traffic in front of and above the site. However, we had a great night, with lots of bird sounds. You can walk right into the charming town, and walking along the river in the other direction is pleasant. We spent €2.20 on parking fees. It is a bit cramped with three campers side by side.

February 25, 2026: Nice campsite on the edge of the parking lot, across from the Palais de Justice. Three pitches behind the barrier. We arrived at 4:15 PM and left at 8:40 AM, paying €2.20. The surrounding area is green, as you reach the Clain River under a viaduct with all sorts of rapids. A pleasant walk of about an hour, turning left across the footbridge to return, then back across the footbridge—beautiful.

Amenities include only a trash can and four wooden chairs and a table. We enjoyed the sun.

We stayed here for one night. There are no facilities, but we could park for free in one of the three campervan sites. The location is at the parking lot directly across from the Palace of Justice. The GPS will guide you into the city. You can turn around there and then take a left on the way back towards the parking lot.
