Camping de La Brise

A well-located campsite for exploring the Camargue on a bumpy bike ride through flamingo-filled waters (the cycling routes could be clearer). The beach is 8 km away (no facilities), and flamingos can be spotted along that route. The campsite seemed a bit unkempt, large, and impersonal. It's literally sandblasted, with poor shelter from the wind and sand. It's better to get bread from the bakery around the corner; it's tastier and cheaper. The sanitary facilities are cleaned at inconvenient times, and the village is uninviting.

A very expensive campsite; we paid €36 for one night in the off-season. The sanitary facilities are outdated and smelly. Checking in is a hassle, resulting in a long queue and unfriendly staff. In short, not recommended.

What a terrible campsite! First, you wait in line for ages to check in, then you're finally given a spot that's already occupied, so you have to wait in line again. You have to pay a €10 deposit for the beach gate; I only had €20 and was supposed to get it back when I left. Then our note was nowhere to be found, and we could kiss our €20 goodbye. The dishwater was lukewarm, and you kept pressing the button for the showers.
