We were there this week; I'm talking about Sonnenbach. What a lovely place to unwind. Beautiful panoramic view (we stood right up to the reception) and excellent WiFi. The only downside for us, which we hadn't anticipated, was that cycling was difficult, even with an e-bike. It was really up and down hills. But otherwise, we are very satisfied.
Also, the sanitary facilities are super beautiful and good, and the welcome was very friendly; for us, a solid 9.

Welcoming reception. We were allowed to choose a spot on the edge of the campsite with a view of the lake (for swimming). Dinkelsbühl and Ellwangen are easily accessible by bike using Komoot. The sanitary facilities are very luxurious and clean. A minor downside: poor internet, but probably due to the secluded location.

Perhaps a bit confusing. There are two campsites next to each other, Sonnenhof and Sonnenbach. We are talking about the latter. Many permanent pitches, but that doesn't bother you. It has already been mentioned, but the owner is incredibly nice and helpful. Everything else is top-notch, from the sanitary facilities to the on-site pizzeria. Nothing further to add to the above.
