The pitches are very cramped, but the night was quiet. Water and waste disposal are okay. Electricity has to be paid for with €1 coins; card payments haven't arrived at the power outlets yet. The pitch costs €12 per night plus a €5 tourist tax, which a city employee collected separately. His salary surely costs the city more than it takes in from the tourist tax 🤨

The campsite is in a very good location, hence the two stars. The €12 is just about acceptable, considering there are no sanitary facilities, the waste disposal station is publicly accessible next to the payment machine, and the six bins don't offer any recycling options.

What's absolutely unacceptable is the €2.50 visitor's tax for absolutely nothing! No service whatsoever! €17 is far too much for this place offering nothing! Strasbourg is easily accessible by bike, but a rip-off tax?

The bed tax, which the city of Kehl collects at a rate of €2.50 per person through a city employee,

I find inappropriate.

This bed tax is levied in addition to the parking space fee. The parking space's only redeeming feature is its proximity to Strasbourg.
