We've stayed here several times and always found the campsite very good and reasonably priced. However, we were here again on June 24th, 2026, and were very disappointed. The cleanliness and upkeep of the site left much to be desired. What good is a well-built campsite, constructed at great expense, if it isn't maintained?

Entry now costs €15, and electricity and water can be purchased for €10 or €5. In return, you get a quiet spot and plenty to do. The moated castle looks beautiful in the evening. The bistro at the castle offers good, reasonably priced meals. Several discount supermarkets are nearby. Its proximity to Hamburg makes this campsite an attractive option.

a beautiful cp situated at a park close to the centre of Winsen. unfortunately our debit cards were not accepted and we had to pay 10 euros in cash at the machine, plus 10 euros extra for a "Wertkarte" for fresh water and electricity connection. emptying the toilet is free.
There were 2 waste containers, but these were locked with padlocks and we could not use them.
