Great campsite! Friendly welcome from the manager. You can choose your own (spacious) pitch. The site is nicely decorated. Sanitary facilities are somewhat outdated but clean. Shower costs 1 euro for hot water (6 minutes). Great surroundings for cycling and/or hiking. The Eisenbahnbruecke and the village of Rueterberg are highly recommended. We didn't visit Hitzacker because the bicycle ferry was out of service due to low water levels in the Elbe. Be sure to check beforehand!

I agree with the positive reviews. Pleasant campsite, fun decor, friendly owner. Beer garden available, renovations are okay, gas exchange possible. Ideal for sightseeing, visiting the fortress, and cycling...highly recommended! Reasonable price!

A very charming campsite, decorated with characteristic decorations... not the Elbe, but the Caribbean style! Palm trees, parrots, etc. Sanitary facilities are okay. Beautiful surroundings with a lock next to the campsite and a large hotel with a small beach on the other side. Domitz 1.5 km. Lidl 100 meters.
