An excellent free place for those who are completely self-sufficient. Not officially designated as a camper place, overnight stays are apparently tolerated. The Vennbahn runs right past it. On working days, trucks can drive by to the adjacent material depot. Anyone who wants to cycle the Rurufer Cycle Route will have to descend to Monschau, more than 100 meters in altitude lower. Feels safe here.
lees meerHere you are very quiet, close to the city and directly on the Vennbahn cycle path. We went to the other parking space to go hiking on the Rur, but returned here in the afternoon. It was far too loud between the streets. We stayed here for 2 nights.
A wonderfully quiet place on the cycle path. There is no sign that you can spend the night there, the only thing is that there was already a camper there, otherwise we would not have recognized it as a camper place.
