We stayed two nights at this campsite. There is a clear distinction between a quiet area and a somewhat busier section. The pitches are not large, but adequate. The campsite is beautifully situated and water points are available everywhere. The sanitary facilities are clean, although they are too limited when the campsite is full. Unfortunately, the rubbish containers were overflowing during our stay. The location is close to Monschau, within walking distance.

Definitely not recommended!!! On the way to reception, we could already smell the overflowing trash cans... super tiny pitches for a hefty price, had booked for 5 nights, left after night 2. On the first evening, we went to take a quick look in their little shop, there was a bottle of Bacardi there which I took, but the man didn't know the price and suggested settling the bill the next morning, when the woman was there... 45 euros for a bottle of 14 euros!!!! 🤮

Pleasant green spot by the Ruhr, atmospheric reception and sanitary building. Plenty of space in early July. Beautiful cycle route to Monschau, tough climb to the Vennbahn but lovely cycling from there, likewise along the Ruhrtalradweg. Also a nice walk from the campsite to the viewpoint above Monschau.
