The camper is parked on the paved area, which is an advantage compared to the other campsite in Darfeld. The one next to the sports center is very muddy when it rains. Our tip: stay at this campsite and shower at the sports center. There is a decent shower and toilet there, €0.50 to enter and €1 to shower. The railway line, which has been converted into a cycle path, starts at this campsite; Coesfeld on one side and Rheine on the other. Both campsites are free.

At the moment there is a lot of work going on all around the CP. It looks very uninviting. We drove to the other CP. 
In September 2024 we even stayed there for 4 days and with us several campers. We did not feel unsafe at all then.
