Friendly, businesslike welcome. Large lawn. You can choose your own pitch. Includes a pond. The sanitary facilities are outdated. An update, a fresh coat of paint, etc., would make a big difference. Xanten is easily accessible by bike (just under 6km). Lots of archaeology and a nice town. We paid €49.50 for 2 nights here, including electricity and shower tokens. Conclusion: a pleasant campsite, but the sanitary facilities really need to be renovated, as does the dishwashing area.

We were standing by the lake

Sanitary facilities were acceptable but outdated
Trash cans

overflowing
Restaurant and shop closed for a long time
But paying in cash without a receipt!!!!!!

We stayed at this site for two nights. That was perfectly adequate. The sanitary facilities are seriously outdated. There was no toilet paper in sight... You could see everyone walking around the site with toilet rolls.
We pre-ordered six shower tokens (€2.50 each), of which we only used two. But we didn't get the money (€10) back... the lady at reception wasn't "allowed" to do that. Great 🤨

For us, that was a one-time thing and never again.
