Clean restrooms and good food on the kiosk terrace. Views of the Rhine meadows. The Nahe/Rhine junction is a 15-minute bike ride away.

We were lucky and got a spot in the front row from the groundskeeper. The pitch is a good size, but quite stony in places.

For such a large campsite, there are only two sinks for washing up, and the toilets desperately need new toilet seats. Some were very yellowed, and despite the man in white, they weren't exactly clean.

The cheesecake from the beer garden was delicious.

The location is the highlight of the campsite.

Right on the Rhine, with all necessary amenities, a terrace with a fast-food kiosk by the water, and a beautiful, safe cycle route to Bingen, and yet not five stars. The dry summer did not do the appearance of this poorly maintained campsite any good; as has already been noted, you are paying primarily for the location. Pitches by the river are allocated based on availability, and wooden leveling blocks are available to handle the extra slope.
