Green Camping am Rhein

Never again! That's not the campsite's fault, but the owners' behavior. The sign on the door says reception open from 10:00 AM. We had to leave early to catch a train. Paying with PayPal was possible, but the owners were there, so at 9:45 AM we politely asked if we could pay cash, exact change in hand. NOT possible, the sign on the door says 10:00 AM!! No discussion!!! You shouldn't run a campsite with such limited flexibility!

Great campsite along the Rhine and near Marksburg Castle. We stayed for two nights and weren't in the front row. It certainly wasn't necessary, as we were in the back and could see the boats on the Rhine. The bathroom facilities are excellent, and the shower was wonderful. The castle is a short 1,200-meter walk from the campsite, but easily doable on foot. Definitely worth a visit. All in all, a lovely stay for €30.00 per night [in September].

Lovely campsite on the Rhine. Good sanitary facilities. Braubach is a charming old town within walking distance. The trains are clearly audible, but that doesn't make up for the beauty of the Rhine. Upon arrival, we didn't see a clear sign with the campsite's name. The owner said: "Good tip. He'd take care of it."
