It's finally happened. The campsite is closed. The electrical hookups have been removed and there's a chain blocking the entrance. It was always lovely here! It's such a shame the campsite had to close.

Stayed here for three nights this week, cycling to Koblenz was easy. Local residents told me the site will be closed in 2026 and will be replaced by a park-like development. There are some reports about this online, unfortunately.
Much has already been said, so the poor maintenance is understandable.

On October 25th, there were still many campers. Beautiful location with cycling opportunities. The grounds need maintenance. Many pitches are muddy, and the access road has potholes. Checking in at the machine is easy, but only with cash. Electricity is coin-operated via electricity cards. Restrooms are available. It's a shame that the chemical toilet can be emptied, but not flushed.
