A campsite that will stay in your memory. We were swayed by the wonderful pictures of this place and therefore decided to make it our permanent home. Unfortunately, many of the pictures only showed the beautiful side of the place. Even the approach through the residential area, which then transitions into an industrial zone, suggested that anyone wanting to experience something beyond the campsite would either have to be a good walker or travel by foot. We missed having public transport on the way to the campsite.

An alternative campsite with lots of beautiful flowers and a great view of the lock and the large ships. The little snack bar serves delicious food! We love it there and will definitely come back!

A basic campsite. Its main advantage is its location right next to the lock on the Kiel Canal. It's fascinating to watch the ships go by. However, it's important to be aware that the locks also operate at night. The site isn't paved, just gravel. There's an outdated toilet. A small snack bar is nearby and open daily. The price of €28 without electricity is a bit steep. Reservations are not possible.
