Note: This campsite is located 17 km further west; see other reviews.
Free, you have to find your own spot.
Shower 500 kroner. The kitchen was very dirty and there was a lot of trash that desperately needed to be taken out. Two toilets isn't much. Otherwise, it's a nice spot in the middle of a tern colony that tries to get rid of you by attacking your head. During the day, the owner's coffee shop with waffles and hot dogs is nice, with very clean toilets a 50-meter walk away.

This campsite is located near Strandakirkju a bit towards Grindavik. That's where I saw the photo in question. The campsite is free with a gift box in the toilet building. The shower was locked, the waste bins very full and there are usable toilets and a small cooking area. It is very open and the wind was howling quite a bit.
