Campsite within (30 min) walking distance of Kilkenny Castle. Friendly manager. Clean sanitary facilities and a choice of several camper pitches (sun or shade). Good base for a stay of several days.

A very nice, well-maintained campsite with everything you need – you can hear the road, but it's not loud or disturbing. The owner is very friendly and humorous. It's a 20-25 minute walk to the town center with all the main sights. We ate fish and chips at Matt's by the river after the bridge – very tasty – fresh oil, live music.

Sanitary outdated but worked fine. Showers just warm water. Push button with very short duration. Excellent paved areas with electricity and water. We could check in early and cycle along the river to the castle (10m). Very friendly owner. €30 for 2p without electricity. In short, we were very satisfied.
