Grass fields with paved pitches. Trees here and there, and pitches are arranged so that you cannot look into each other's campers: a playful layout. Next to an adventure park (music audible in pitches with high numbers). Amenities: washing machine, (poor) dryer, good hot shower, cafe. We had a local bike rental drop us off at Achill Island to cycle back along the Greenway.

We wanted to hike Croagh Patrick from here: dogs are NOT allowed.

Nice campsite, beautiful pitches. One of the better ones in Ireland.

For us, this has been the most comfortable campsite so far – it's nicely laid out with a star-shaped arrangement of paved pitches, alongside grassy areas. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional – showers that actually dry your clothes, and plenty of sinks with high taps that don't immediately soak people and the environment.

It's a 20-minute walk to Westport through the castle park (which closes at 8:00 p.m.), so in the evening it takes 25-30 minutes. A taxi costs €11.
