It is not a charming campsite; you only stay here to visit Matera. We did not receive a warm welcome, but we were immediately given a tour of the campsite and were free to choose where to pitch our tent. At check-in, they wanted to hold my ID card, which I did not want. After a brief discussion, a copy was made with fresh reluctance. Matera is nice, but the surroundings are boring. The shower is OK for 1 euro for 5 minutes. However, the water drains poorly, so you end up standing in a footbath. 28 euros per night

Beautiful campsite, friendly service, and a good restaurant with excellent pizza. Definitely book the night tour of Matera on-site. It was well worth it. There's also a free shuttle to Matera four times a day. Thanks!
