Large parking lot at the marina. In the low season, you do not have to pay between 11:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Rate: 1.50 per hour. There is one payment terminal; the parking app does not recognize the zone. The town is very nice and the view over the bay is amazing.
Quiet place to sleep; you wake up to the sound of birds.

Be careful driving towards the harbor! On January 11, 2026, TomTom sent us straight through Tropea. Luckily, there are signs directing campers who, like us, end up in the center. We did end up here. Just after we'd paid, a friendly man drove up and said it's free in the winter, but there's a sign saying you still have to pay in winter. Tropea is beautiful!

A good and quiet parking lot. Clean. no service, only parking. The port and the center can be reached in about 400 meters. A very nice place to stay for 2 nights. Please do not stand in front of the parking lot to avoid paying. if no one pays, then there will soon be no more such places for us.
