Not a good campsite for its facilities so it is not good value for what you pay. Adding to this, it has the worst hospitality among the campsites that we have seen across Europe in our trip, which is more than 30. In summary, Avoid.

If you like Roman ruins, this is the place for you. There are excavations scattered throughout the city. The campsite is within sight of the Roman harbor ruins, where the brackish water sits still. Accordingly, there are plenty of mosquitoes at the campsite. The restrooms are completely outdated, but they are kept clean. The only advantage is the abundance of trees, which provide shade, and we usually had a cooling breeze here.

A very nice campsite with friendly staff, some of whom speak German. Level pitches under deciduous trees on a meadow. Very clean restrooms and hot water… even for washing up! A somewhat expensive restaurant next to the site. A small market directly across the street. Great bike paths in the area.
