We were allowed to choose our own spot. A pass to open the gate, no deposit required. Access to the campsite was good, no overhanging branches or anything like that. Sanitary facilities were good. From the campsite, you can easily cycle to San Gimignano. The views are beautiful.

Camping in Italy is relatively expensive, that is a fact.

Incredibly overpriced! They have not trimmed back any trees to allow access in and out of sites, we scratched up our van trying to get out of our pitch. With the money they’re making, surely they could afford some basic gardening tools… the staff are the rudest we’ve encountered in 3 months of travelling Europe. Dear woman on reception: making eye contact with a paying customer is basic courtesy.

Avoid if you can.

This is a very good option for a visit to San Gimignano. The bus stops in front of the reception. What we noticed was that the swimming pool does not belong to the campsite and you have to leave the grounds to use it, plus a swimming cap is mandatory. Furthermore, we found the water undrinkable. We bought bottles of water at the shop. All other facilities are fine.
