Camping Simmerschmelz

We were warmly welcomed by the lady. The gentleman showed us the way and stood there sighing and shaking his head. When we arrived at the campervan site, we turned the van around (because we had a bus tent), and the gentleman returned on his scooter to say that wasn't right. All the doors had to face the same way. We had two doors, so we asked why. To which he gruffly replied, "Yeah, never mind!" The campsite and campervan site were fine, the restrooms were clean and heated.

What sad sacks. The place and amenities are great otherwise, but it would be nice if people seemed to enjoy their work more. I couldn't even crack a smile.

On our way back from Les Arcs, we stopped here because we thought we'd have a nice meal and drink at the bistro. The owner told us the bistro has been closed on Sundays for a few months now, which is a shame because the food is delicious. The bathroom facilities and showers are also excellent. Perfect for an overnight stay at a campsite.
