Lovely campsite with a wonderful pool. We received a friendly welcome from Susan. The bathrooms were clean.
Lidl is just around the corner, and Budapest is easily accessible by public transport.

the toilet building smells like an Amsterdam urinal places like herring in a barrel you walk over each other's spot reception friendly lady speaks good German nice swimming pool

What a friendly welcome from the owner, who also speaks fluent German, which is easy; she'll tell you everything you need to know. The campsite is very clean. The pool is large for this campsite and great for swimming laps. The sanitary facilities are also excellent. Definitely worth 5 stars. A taxi via the Bolt app costs €23 to the center of Budapest, the market square, and from there, everything is easy to visit. Public transport is also easy to use and free for those over 65 (just bring your ID).
