The campsite has excellent facilities. It is spacious and close to the fortified town of Bourtange. The motorhome pitches are small; you are parked close together. However, there is a nice view of a field. In the summer, the motorhome pitches seem too small to sit comfortably outside. But of course, you can also use the camping fields, where you have a more spacious spot at your disposal. Excellent and welcoming reception by a staff member.

We received a warm welcome. The fortified town is just around the corner. However, the camper pitches are very cramped. There is barely any room to sit between two campers. You can, however, place chairs on the grass in front of the camper. Also, a striking number of places on the campsite smelled of deep-fried food.

€16 for a camper pitch at a campsite (+€0.50 per 4 minutes of showering) is quite pricey for what it offers.

Friendly welcome, we arrived spontaneously without a booking. We opted for one of the 10 campervan pitches. They are indeed very narrow; if you want to sit outside in warmer weather, it would be far too cramped for me. However, the surface is level, and the washrooms are not far away. It was very cold inside, though. Four minutes for 50 cents to shower is okay. We didn't use electricity, so I can't comment on the costs. Two nights with a dog cost €34.
