A place to return to. Kirsten and Anton, super relaxed, everything is possible, there's no such thing as difficult. Beautiful spots, sun, shade, or practically private.
Immaculate sanitary facilities and a great sandwich service. I was advised to take a "moose route" but was already fully settled in, so Anton offered to drive for a fuel allowance. A 1.5-hour drive, really nice. We went out together, but unfortunately, no moose. A lovely conversation along the way 👍🏻👍🏻

Fristad campsite is Sweden's best-kept secret and should remain so.

Anton & Kerstin run this campsite with great love. It's ideal for families looking for a pleasant atmosphere.

The lake is magical. The sandwiches in the morning (order in advance) and the ice cream in the afternoon are delicious. If you're lucky, you might even experience a special concert or campfire dinner.

The campsite is run by the incredibly hospitable Dutch couple Anton and Kirsten and their children. These lovely people are truly uncomplicated – and you can feel that in everything they do.

The sanitary facilities are basic, but clean and well-maintained.

A big plus is their own food truck: there you can get truly delicious pizzas, surprisingly good ice cream, and top-quality freshly baked rolls the next morning, made to order.

We'll definitely be back!
