### ROhlsen - 5/5
*July 2025*

One of the three best campsites on our four-week wedding tour through Scotland. Fantastic pitches right by the sea. A must-do is the coastal path to Portpartick, a very pretty harbor town. Very clean washroom/toilet block. £35 including electricity.

Tip: Visit the Crafty Distillery in Newton. The gin cocktail with burnt oranges and smoked pineapple is unique. A 1.5-hour guided tour of the gin process with tasting is available for £20.

What a beautiful place! Just drive through the typical British caravan park and you will find a fantastic campsite. We were lucky with a spot right on the Irish Sea. The view is phenomenal. We immediately booked an extra night. Sani is also great and the reception is downright friendly. Via a footpath along the coast you can walk to Portpatrick in fifteen minutes for e.g. delicious fish & chips. Recommended!
