You can just barely make out that people once started this little campsite with pleasure. Now it's a shame: a withered flower box, a mess at the old tourist info, a heavy lid on the trash can (handle!), and above all, a very uninterested ‘good morning’ without making eye contact. On top of that, solo travelers unfairly pay Tourist Tax twice, which I detest.

Three stars because the price is still reasonable even after the increase.

Slochteren, surroundings: beautiful!

Stayed overnight for the Roegwold Festival. A wonderful spot for campers who actually want to be surrounded by nature, but since that's not permitted, this is an excellent alternative at a reasonable price.

A beautiful camper site, with everything you need for a freestanding campervan. Beautiful surroundings for cycling, both through Roegwold and towards Hoogezand. A supermarket is about 2 km away. A bakery is nearby. We'd love to return.
