Large campsite, excellent sanitary facilities, nice swimming spot by the lake. Cycling is often on roads with cars, unfortunately. The campsite overlooks the city's industrial area. There are many pleasant terraces in the city.

!Recommended! 
A wonderful camp site! Great scenery, friendly welcoming staff and nice, clean updated facilities. Good area for bathing, easy trail walking, bicycling/water sports. You can rent a canoe and enjoy Mälaren on the water. Nostalgic boat ride in to Västerås from the pier and this also goes to an island- great for kids! 
Buss to Västerås City is easy accessible - bip/swipe card. 
About 90min to Stockholm.

Due to circumstances (hospitalization) we stayed here for 2 weeks as guests at this campsite. Excellent facilities and within cycling distance of the nice town. Also cottages (with optional facilities) for rent. 
Yes, you have to pay, but we also want to be able to do our shopping, right?
Living on air, as noticed, apparently only Dutch campers can. 
Excellent facilities, super sanitary facilities. Arie van Gaalen
