There is a bus stop at the parking lot if you find it too far to walk. This will drop you off in the heart of the city. We regretted our visit to Inverness. What a horrible, meaningless city at the moment. Walking along the river was the best part of the day. But tastes differ of course :-)

Good and cheap place to stay overnight, even if it is just a parking space, if you want to visit the city. We walked to the centre in half an hour along the river. 
We gladly paid the voluntary donation of £10 for 24 hours.

Good place to visit the city, with direct bus to the centre. There are various rates if you do not stay overnight (3 or 4£) and the overnight places are now marked. There is the possibility of drinking water.
