An excellent place to stay overnight for visiting Ypres and experiencing the Last Post. The noise from the adjacent railway and the main road is acceptable. The overall impression was one of peace and safety.

Excellent free stopover. Spent two nights there. Felt safe and there were plenty of other motorhomes and camper-vans parked up. Easy walk into Ypres centre. Drove to Zillebeke motorhome site nearby for water €1 and toilet waste disposal( facilities are outside the barrier so anyone can use them) 
Trains were pretty quiet and didn’t run overnight ( I don’t think!)

Great place to stay overnight and visit the city. The Last Post at the Menin Gate is impressive and definitely worth a visit. Come early if you want to see anything.
