We were here for the second time and were welcomed kindly again.

The location is beautiful, in the forest. The sanitary facilities are outdated but neat, clean, and heated.

The village is 1.5 km away and has a supermarket. There are many cycling routes through nature and heathland.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet at Camping Sonnenberg.
Delicious rolls in the morning!
Johan has been the new manager since September 1, 2025, and he's full of plans for improvements.
The village of Müden is very charming, with delicious cakes, among other things.
Plenty of cycling opportunities (Lunenburgerheide).

The campsite was taken over by Johan (a Dutchman) a few weeks ago. Johan is enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful, and wants to gradually address and renovate what's needed or outdated. It's a large, beautiful campsite nestled among the trees and woods, with spacious pitches and plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. The sanitary facilities were a bit dated, but everything was spotlessly clean. Wonderfully hot showers. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the natural surroundings.
