I have been here several times; the place remains amazing. However, I find a price of €26.50 per night very high by Portuguese standards, especially considering the dated sanitary facilities. It is striking that campsites with Dutch owners are significantly more expensive compared to the average campsite in Portugal.

This is a beautifully situated terraced campsite in Melo. Friendly and helpful Dutch-speaking owners. All facilities are available, they function, and they are clean. Possibility to eat in the restaurant. Order bread in the evening for the next breakfast. No extra charge for the shower. The swimming pool was not yet open in mid-April. Wonderful walking and cycling opportunities.

October 11th, after a week's stay. This terraced campsite has been our haven for many years, as we enter Portugal from Spain. It's not a campsite for those who need organized entertainment. The pitches are pleasant, not rigidly laid out, with plenty of space and views of greenery and trees. A large, renovated, beautiful pool and terrace are available. Several times a week, an excellent meal is served on the terrace or indoors. Bread and a small kitchen are available upon request.
