Lovely campsite. It was quiet in the second week of September. We could choose our own spot. It's a great starting point for the hike to Preikestolen. The restrooms and dishwashing facilities were clean.

*August 2025*

We initially wanted to camp at Skjersvika Rasteplass, but it was already full around 4:00 PM, so we drove on to this campsite.

Without electricity for the campervan, we paid about €40 for one night.

The restrooms were clean, but we did have to queue for our dishes and showers in the evening.

It was the perfect place to spend the night before heading out for the Preikestolen hike early. We started the hike at 6:00 AM, which was wonderfully peaceful.

This is a campsite where everything revolves around making as much money as possible. Just one toilet/shower building for a huge campsite. I saw lines all evening for the shower, toilet, and laundry facilities. You even have to wait a bit if you want to do the dishes. But the main idea is to accommodate as many people as possible. The downside is that if you're not careful, you might not be able to leave your spot because they're building it up. It's a shame, because there's so much potential!
