At first, you think, "What an old place!" You can choose your own spot, which is spacious but a bit cluttered, in our opinion.
The sanitary facilities look quite old, but they're very clean. On one side, there's a small lake and on the other, a river.
After a few hours, you realize what a fantastic place. We had a wonderful swim in a canoe on a river. Fantastic. Cycling is also very nice, passing through charming villages. We quickly booked an extra night.

A lovely campsite with very large pitches. The campsite still has some old GDR features, which is nice. The owners are very friendly and helpful and speak Dutch. Ideal for a bike ride to Jena, with a continuous cycle path from the campsite to the city, just under 8 kilometers, and flat terrain. There's a beer garden and a small shop. In short, highly recommended.

Well, despite all the negative reviews... What do you expect? This girl does a fantastic job. No hassle, large fields where you can choose your own spot. What more could you want? The showers and toilets might be a bit dated, but nothing wrong with them. Everything works. What else could you ask for for 27 euros? I thought it was great. Friendly welcome.
