Great campsite, fully equipped, bakery 50 meters down the street and also open on Sundays. You do need to know how the Camping-Car park system works regarding reservations, payments, etc. You really need to familiarize yourself with that.

*April 2026*

At the railway station, 16 spacious pitches have now been created within a short walking distance of beautiful Sisteron. All pitches now have an electricity hook-up and are accessible via a barrier. To open and pay upon departure, you need a Camping-Car Park account/app (>600 pitches in Europe); membership can be obtained digitally via a post at the barrier and the app. It works fine. We paid €5 for a pass and €16.50 for 24 hours.

Excellent campsite, a five-minute walk to the beautiful town.
It gets a bit noisier from 6 a.m., but we didn't find it a problem.
The height restriction has been removed, creating more pitches.
The payment machine wasn't working; we even had a free pitch.

See the reviews that always complain; I'd say go to a campsite instead.
