The welcome was friendly, and the campsite is just a short walk from Methoni and the castle. The restaurant is right on the beach with a view of the castle.

The campsite itself is in a terrible state. Lights are broken, there's rubbish lying around, some of the sunshades are in tatters, and the roof is a completely rusted-out old forklift. It's a shame, given the great location.

Campsite within walking distance of the impressive Fort Methoni. The charm of this campsite is the friendly welcome and the fact that everything isn't so hyper-modern and strictly organized—isn't that what we prefer? You are situated right by the sea, with a beautiful sunset in the evening and a view of the beautifully illuminated castle tower of Methoni. The toilet facilities have been renovated, and new ones are also being built.

many (new) campers expect everything new and luxurious from a campsite, but it is usually not cozy there.
this old-fashioned campsite offers everything you need. It is really relaxed, even on the beach. and by the way: that is really Greece. that is why we go here, right? The owner is also very nice and helpful, I think his name is Nico.
